Our story

Ten years, one dance at a time

What started behind a DJ controller turned into a fascination with everything that makes a live event work: rigging, lighting, stage design and sound engineering. Lenawee County is still the foundation of the story, even as the crew rolls across the Midwest and beyond.

2016The first danceOn September 23, 2016, Jacob Wilson, fresh out of high school and starting at Siena Heights University, DJs the Sand Creek High School homecoming dance with a small set of speakers.
2018W4 Entertainment LLCThe college side hustle becomes a company, incorporated in October 2018 and ready to grow into full-scale production.
2020Carried by communityWhen live events stop, the Siena Heights and Lenawee community keeps our lights on and our spirits intact.
2023Mask Audio joinsAdam Agge’s Mask Audio comes under the W4 umbrella, and the mobile DJ work becomes its own brand: DJ & Photo Booth Services.
April 2026The Farewell FestivalFounder Jacob Wilson produces the Farewell Festival at Siena Heights University as its Director of Student Engagement, with W4 behind the show. National headliner Flo Rida plays the largest concert Lenawee County has hosted. See the festival.
2026A stage of our ownGroovy Event Rentals and its 24×14 mobile stage join W4, and our crews start deploying stages, line arrays and lighting rigs across county lines and state borders.

Jacob Wilson

Hello! I’m Wilson, the President and Founder of W4 Entertainment. My passion for entertainment ignited at the age of 12. By 18, I was immersed in the world of DJing, and that led me to explore the broader landscape of event production. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being involved in hundreds of events, each one fueling my desire to create memorable experiences. I’m excited to continue building a team, focusing on what I love most: bringing people together through the power of entertainment.

Greetings! I’m Adam, the Director and Founder of Mask Audio, now part of W4 Entertainment. My journey in live entertainment began in middle school, fueling my passion for audio. With over 15 years of experience, I established Mask Audio, specializing in live sound and production. Recently, I joined forces with W4 Entertainment and I am thrilled to be part of this incredible team after years of working solo.

Home base

At home in the Adrian Armory

Our office and warehouse are at 230 W Maumee St in downtown Adrian, inside the historic Adrian Armory. Built in the 1920s as a National Guard armory, it is now the Adrian Armory Event Center, which we have the honor to manage. Its Drill Room is 5,375 square feet and seats up to 250 guests.

Because the Armory is our home base, events hosted there get exclusive DJ and production package pricing. Every April and May it is also home to the Ultimate Prom Series, when a concert-grade sound and lighting rig stays up in the room for two months.
